The Fifth Element

The Fifth Element is a body-mind healing center in Eilat, established in response to the October 7 attacks and the war. The center offers group retreats, ongoing programs and community activities for soldiers and reservists and their partners, bereaved families, survivors of the festival attacks, families of hostages, and healthcare and emergency personnel.

Our work is grounded in an integrative approach that connects body, mind, group support and nature. In the unique setting between the Red Sea and the desert, our programs combine mind-body workshops, facilitated group conversations, movement, breathwork, creative practices, bodywork and water-based activities. Our guiding principle is “nature as a resource for healing,” drawing on the elements of earth, water, fire and air.

Each program is tailored to the needs of the group and supported by a professional team, including practitioners with master’s degrees in therapeutic disciplines and training in trauma, group facilitators, bodywork practitioners, aquatic therapists and workshop leaders. Multi-day retreats also include accommodation, meals and transportation within the program, allowing participants to focus on their experience.

Our aim is to help more people living with the effects of war and loss access support, experience a sense of belonging and develop tools for everyday life. Donations help fund participation and professional support, sustain ongoing programs and extend our work to additional groups.
