Our Israel Story

Our Israel Story is a digital initiative dedicated to documenting and sharing the personal narratives of Israeli citizens from all backgrounds. Through its innovative conversational video archive, the project aims to present the authentic, diverse voices that make up contemporary Israeli society. This is for Israelis to share their own stories with each other and the diversity of Israeli society with the wider world. Our Israel Story is a crowdsourced, multilingual, multigenerational, conversational video archive that reveals the lives, how people immigrated, and the contribution of everyday people. The goal with the first phase is to interview 1000 Israeli citizens that demographically represent the country between mid 2025 to mid 2026. The second phase is to open it up to everyone in the country through Our Israel Story App. Thousands, millions of people will be able to join the archive and everyone will be able to share on social media or with friends and family. Each generation tells their own story. Grandparents, children and grandchildren talking about their identity, culture, traditions, language, religion & politics.
