The past years have made clear just how significant the transition from national or military service to civilian life truly is. Many young people find themselves at a crossroads, facing questions about their future, their place in society, and how to navigate today’s complex reality. This has always been true - and even more so since the outbreak of the war, during which young men and women gave everything for the country, and now stand alone before the challenge of building their lives after service.

The Mafligim El HaOfek (“Sailing to the Horizon”) Association was founded מתוך a clear understanding: Israel’s social resilience begins at the very moment young people complete their military or national service and step into civilian life. It is at this point that their ability to believe in themselves, choose a direction, and transform the sense of mission that shaped them into a foundation for civic growth is truly tested.

The Journey to the Horizon Program provides a comprehensive and meaningful response to this challenge. It creates a unique platform connecting the high-tech sector, academia, and personal mentorship, equipping service graduates with the tools, vision, and confidence needed for their next step in life.

This is a national moment to say to those who gave endlessly for the country: we see you. we believe in you. we stand with you.
