The IDF Commando Foundation was established out of a profound sense of responsibility toward the fighters of the IDF Commando Brigade, their commanders, and their families - in both routine operations and times of war. The Foundation serves as a comprehensive support framework, grounded in the values of the Commando Brigade, and is committed to standing by its people throughout every stage of their journey.

The Foundation supports active-duty soldiers and veterans alike, providing personal, professional, and emotional assistance during service and in the transition to civilian life. It strengthens commanders through targeted support and leadership resources, assists lone soldiers, and reinforces the home front by supporting the families of fighters and commanders, recognizing their essential role in operational readiness and resilience.

A central mission of the Foundation is to care for those who have paid a personal price in the defense of Israel. This includes long-term support for wounded Commando fighters - both physically and psychologically - as well as ongoing accompaniment of bereaved families, ensuring dignified, compassionate, and sustained care over time.

Looking to the future, the Foundation invests in the next generation of Commando fighters by supporting training at the Commando School, strengthening infrastructure, and reinforcing the brigade’s core values. In parallel, it provides academic scholarships to brigade veterans and promotes meaningful integration into Israeli society through educational and community-based initiatives.
